BIO
P3 is a group comprised of Max and Nick Penichet. The brothers are natives of the Kansas City area and have been performing professionally since 2007. Max and Nick performed in a trio named Electric Soul from 2009-2012 alongside KMEA (Kansas Music Educators Association) All-State Jazz guitarist Keshav Ramaswami. This jazz fusion trio was courted by a record label from Warner Bros. Records (Warner Music Group) until guitarist Ramaswami moved to New York City. In 2012, both Max and Nick began playing with Victor Gossage, an accomplished singer and songwriter who toured the United States most notably with Lester Estelle Jr. (Pillar, Kelly Clarkson).

Both Max and Nick and accepted music scholarships at Ottawa University (OU), where Max later received his Instrumental Music Education and Jazz Studies Performance degree for the Electric/Upright bass. While at OU, the brothers studied under Todd Wilkinson, Keith Mallory, Michael Pagan, Steven McDonald, Bill McKemy, and Kansas City Legend Bob Bowman. Bob is renowned for his Grammy award while playing for the famous Thad Jones and Mel Lewis, and is considered by many to be one of the best Jazz upright bass players in the United States.

Alongside performing in P3, Max and Nick now tour the midwest with Chad and Bret Bourquin as the full time musicians for the award winning country band, Big Time Grain Company. Big Time Grain Co. has played many high profile shows including the Royals World Series Parade in front of an estimated 900,000 people. They have also had their music featured on National Television on NFL broadcast.
P3 is a recently created group by the brothers which can be seen in many different forms, all of which include both Nick and Max on drums and bass respectively.
The group is mainly accompanied by guitarist Forrest Fowler. Forrest Fowler is also a graduate of Ottawa University. After graduation Forrest studied and played in New Orleans, Louisiana for two years. The Penichet brothers alongside Forrest Fowler make for an entertaining and lively jazz trio that can be seen performing both originals, and arranged standards.
