Following in my father John’s footsteps, singing country music, playing the guitar, and his cowboy way of life enjoyed much success in the rodeo arena. Many times, qualifying for multiple rodeo association finals, with top 5 finishes. In 2014 I won the MRCA (Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association) Steer wrestling championship. In 2015 while sitting first in 2 associations, I put my rodeo career on hold to pursue his love of music, I love entertaining on a big stage for large crowds. His influences range from Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings to Garth Brooks and George Strait. I began performing with Desert Wine in March of 2015. Always growing and evolving. From the ashes of Desert Wine comes Michael Dale and The Hired Guns. The name “Hired Guns” came about because in the music business you are only as good as your weakest link and you are judged by the company you keep or musicians you employ in this case. If you want to be the best, you have to surround yourself with the best. You pay for talent! These musicians have spent their lives honing their craft. “The Hired Guns” band employs some of the best instrumentalist from around the Kansas City area and will continue to grow and evolve as everything great does. Performed on FOX National Morning TV Here In Kansas City Mo Ch #4 Opened up for The Kenny Chesney Country music festival at Arrowhead Stadium and the Leather and Lace Biker Rally in Lathrop MO. We enjoy playing Casinos, Fairs, Festivals, Corporate Events, private parties and opening for bigger acts.
