1st step, GR developed a program that doesn’t preach or talk down to the students, but instead speaks to them as real people with real needs. Music assists as a way to soften and open up their minds to what we might want them to grasp. There is nothing like experiencing the anticipation that is created when a thousand plus students enter a gym with a huge stage, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, and the rumble of intro music. In many cases, you find a nervous school staff wondering what they have gotten into. To make the necessary impact with this generation sometimes takes drastic steps. We believe that if you first get the students’ attention, and more importantly their respect, the walls may just break down enough to reach their hearts and minds.
2nd step and also very import we deliver a non speech like message that resonates throughout the concert almost subliminally with stories explaining parts of songs that are all based on real life experiences. The songs in the GR concerts are real songs with a real message. The kind of songs that you would want your son or daughter singing over and over again as the songs implant themselves permanently into the young adults’ memories forever. Just like the songs that were implanted in our memories and that automatically transport us back in time with the first note or chord we hear when that song comes on the radio.
The questions to ask are:
Do you believe music has the power to impact and change people and behaviors?
Do you believe that we are more likely to remember first time events than the subsequent like events that follow?
If you believe “Yes” is the answer to both questions, then why would we risk the wrong kind of influence with our own kids, knowing the potential lifetime impact. Youth today are smarter then ever. Their ability to navigate through multi-media platforms is astounding at even the youngest of ages. There are many artists who I do not want my own children to pattern their lives after. But the reality is, all kids search and seek out people to look up to, many times in the entertainment industry. I believe that the GR has the ability to position the right kind of bands in front of impressionable aged students and potentially impact some of them in ways that will be life changing forever.

Standing up for what is right
Facing life’s obstacles and tribulations head-on
Setting and accomplishing goals
Striving to lead a better life
